Myofunctional Therapy

Myofunctional therapy is a treatment that involves exercises designed to retrain the muscles of the face and mouth. Aiming to improve functions like breathing, swallowing, chewing and speaking. This is achieved by correcting improper tongue positioning and muscle imbalances in the oral cavity. In short, the main goal is to restore proper function of the airway.

Lanae is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and Myofunctional Therapist. She has been a RDH for 8 years and in the dental field for over 10 years.

Her passion for myofunctional therapy began when it was a recommended treatment for her two sons as well as her husband. She loves to work with clientele of all ages.
